Urban Digital Conductor

Synchronize your urban environment

Challenge

Urban services use lots of control systems which cannot be easily programmed, do not communicate with each other, and are both expensive and complicated to manage. The lack of a timing and synchronization devices for multiple urban applications is tremendously inefficient; this leads to increased infrastructure costs and duplicated functionality in each system; it also leads to great losses of energy, water and man power. To build a conventional controlling device with a communication infrastructure in an urban environment is difficult and expensive. Energy and water management, environmental control, irrigation, traffic, public displays all fall into this category. To provide every system in the urban environment with the capability to communicate and control multiple urban services in a free and cheap way is the big innovation challenge.

Solution

The Urban Digital Conductor (UDC) is an internet based virtual intelligence system that has both data acquisition and control tools and can be applied to any process that can benefit from centralized operation decisions. One of the main differences between the UDC and conventional systems is that the communication capabilities are cheaper and much more powerful. Multi communication systems such as RDS-FM, internet, and GSM are used in a complementary way, allowing every corner of an urban environment to be controlled in centralized manner. The UDC system can also be used together with other existing systems.

Results

Web based centralized control systems are currently involved in managing many different processes and provide excellent results. The UDC that we have developed has already been tested in full capacity with great success and performance. The low price and easy management achieved with the UDC allows cities to begin saving resources immediately. Additionally the technology can weather harsh environmental conditions. At the moment, the system can be used to manage water systems, environmental controls, urban lighting, security systems and advertising.

Target Markets

Europe and Global Markets

Specific Interests In Meeting Partnering

We are interested in further developing the system in cooperation with communities and local companies (programming and installing), matching system capabilities to the needs of a specific city and giving local companies the ability to install and develop the system.

Specific Interests In Customer Contacts

We are looking for communities with control demands as well as distributors with technical abilities, market knowledge and sales power.
