Challenge
In cities there are miles of trees, public parks and green belts that require permanent maintenance: irrigation, pruning, treatment for diseases, fungi or invasive species, various accidents and plant deterioration, etc. In other words, maintenance of green spaces requires a continued source of human resources as well as material resources. In general, current systems for this maintenance are inefficient, they are limited to the most essential tasks and they make use of minimal information on the actual state of the green spaces themselves.
Solution
We have developed a network of autonomous sensors that can be used to intelligently manage green zones and public parks. Our application guarantees an improved efficiency in the use of resources in the management of these zones, creating a net savings.
Results
Our application results in an optimized irrigation system and an improved allocation of wáter resources, therein improving the overall health of the plants, especially trees. Moreover, it creates savings in resources, both human (maintenance) and material (water).
Target Markets
Responsables municipales de gestión de arbolado y zonas verdes urbanos. Urban green space managers, Municipalities, urban landscaping companies.
