Cáceres city's cultural department proposed that we should create a project with citizen participation in order to obtain the impressions and worries about the changes in the area from the resident´s of Aldea Moret. In doing so, we have created a representative document of the daily life and the difficulties of this humble suburb.
Through a workshop, 15 residents were informed about documentary techniques and theory, and the use of mobile technology in order to make them the responsible for the production of the contents which were part of the final product: a direct and pluralistic documentary about their neighborhood.
Aldea DOC is a participative documentary project recorded with mobile telephones by the residents of Aldea Moret, a suburb of Cáceres city, located in Spain.
